Yahsat appoints Sky-Stream as a strategic partner to roll-out “YahClick” satellite broadband service in the UAE
Star Satellite Communications Company PrJsc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), has signed a service partner agreement with Sky-Stream, to provide Yahsat’s revolutionary satellite broadband service, YahClick, in the UAE. YahClick will be the first satellite broadband service in the UAE and will be available through Yahsat 1B, Yahsat’s second satellite to be launched in Q4 2011.
Sky-Stream, an established provider of satellite-based internet services, will bring YahClick high-speed internet connectivity and reliable broadband to enterprise customers in the UAE at affordable prices. The service will be a one-stop-shop for all the broadband requirements for enterprises across industries such as oil and gas companies, financial institutions, construction, manufacturing, hospitality to name a few.

YahClick will fast track the deployment of affordable broadband services in areas with limited or no internet access. Yahsat has already appointed YahClick service partners in Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Angola, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Kenya and South Africa. By the end of 2010, Yahsat will appoint service partners throughout the YahClick service coverage area. YahClick coverage area includes 27 countries in Middle East, Africa and South-West Asia with a population of more than 1 billion and low broadband penetration in most of the countries.
